SoulCalibur II HD Online – Announcement Trailer

It was announced at SDCC 2013 that Namco Bandai would be releasing a high definition version of “Soul Calibur II” this fall for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Namco Bandai, getting ready for its 10th anniversary of the popular “Soul” fighting game series, has made an announcement, a high-definition (HD) version of “Soul Calibur II” would be made available for consoles. This game will be available for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles this coming fall. A trailer is available for viewing.

It is unknown if any of the other guest characters, asides from Heihachi Mishima from Namco Bandai’s “Tekken” series, will be playable. The original game came out back in 2003 for the Nintendo Gamecube, Playstation 2, and Xbox. In regards to the Gamecube, Link from the “Legend of Zelda” series was the guest character. In regards to Xbox, Spawn from Image Comics was the guest character.

This trailer shows the difference between the standard and high definition versions of the game. A huge focus of this game will be the online competitive play as the team behind Soul Calibur II HD is using a new netcode.
