It looks like the boys from bioware are drip-feeding their slavering fans with dev diaries and info about their ‘Heavy Hitters’.

These constitute minibosses that will be scattered throughout the levels, presumably seeming insurmountable at first and eventually being thrown at you in handfuls when they want to up the stakes as the game progresses.
