It’s Your Daily Dead Space 3 Trailer

Posted on Feb 7, 2013 10:00:23 AM

Dead Space 3 is assaulting us with news we don’t want to hear of late. Out in just over a week, we’ve recently learned that it’s going to offer microtransactions for in-game items, and that the PC build is to be a dead-straight port with no frills. Oh, and dear sweet Horace, it’s used a Phil Collins song. And now it’s saying it’s got a story.

What now, CoD? Battlefield 3′s latest expansion pack boasts birtbike chases across vast maps, capture the flag goodness and even a dropship that can dump vehicles onto the battlefield. Oh and watch the video through to the end if you’re a fan of Battlefield 3′s jets. It looks like there’s something here for just about everyone! HOOAH!

GTA IV’s Iron Man Mod: Now With Actual Super Powers

Posted on Jan 22, 2013 10:00:36 AM

Oh how far we’ve come. Back in 2011 – which I still struggle to believe was more than one year ago, or one day, or not tomorrow – we posted about a marvelous-looking GTA IV mod that turned Niko into Iron Man. Or rather, Iron Man if he were only slightly better at flying than one of the firetrucks he’s apparently wearing and barely capable of going toe-to-toe with the starvingest of hobos.

Posted on Jan 16, 2013 08:53:44 AM

S.D.G.T. is coming to the Xbox Live Indie Market in January 2013. Never mind the lackluster name. If you thought your Centipede needed a little kick in ass, look no further. S.D.G.T. is a space action game putting you in the seat of a fighter pilot against hordes of aliens. The XBLA trailer shows a bit of the gameplay and what to expect. Enjoy!

Hotline Miami – Review

Posted on Jan 11, 2013 03:49:00 PM

There’s definitely something to be said for indie games. After deciding I wanted to play Street Fighter 4 on Steam and spending a solid half an hour being dicked around by Microsoft Games For Windows Live login failures, password resets and security questions, I can see the appeal of a game that doesn’t have multiple forms of bullsh#t DRM, shoehorned into it by out-of-touch publishers.

Crysis 3: Six Minutes More Man-Arrowing Footage

Posted on Dec 31, 2012 10:00:04 AM

Crysis 3 has taken on a strange, amorphous shape in my head. I’m rather excited. I realise I am in a (handsome, intelligent and perceptive) minority in having had a great time in Crysis 2, but I can’t help feeling that Crytek’s mission is laudable. They really do want to make the shooter that covers everything, and is all things to all shooter-fans. Yerli’s quotes in that interview suggest he’s lost none of his ambition, and it’s clear that all kinds of concessions have to be made in projects of this magnitude. And the very least they are aiming high. This new footage, below, contains some spectacular moments. Go take a look.

Tripping Up: Free Red Orchestra 2 And Killing Floor Things

Posted on Dec 17, 2012 07:33:30 PM

Tripwire are having a busy weekend, with the announcement of Killing Floor’s now-traditional Christmas spectacular, and a free weekend on Steam for Red Orchestra 2. This Christmas’ Killing Floor event is IN SPAAAACE, which puts robots and Evil Santa on the moon (a free map with Christmas-themed baddies). Could anything be more festive? Watch the trailer below, and decide for yourself. R’ochestra meanwhile is free from now until Monday. It’s a fantastic, rumpled bastard of a game. Worth a few squeezes of the mouse button.

Watch This Space. Hulk.

Posted on Dec 11, 2012 03:24:54 PM

Despite limited success in the world of video games The Games Workshop, the tabletop games they have developed and the influence that those games have had on popular culture is immense. You could be forgiven for thinking that Blizzard was a daughter company due to the similarities between Warcraft and Warhammer, and Starcraft and Warhammer 40,000.
